The successful candidate will provide high-level scientific support for internal and external customers, ensuring the scientific credibility of all information provided by the company. This role involves supporting the development and execution of Medical Affairs strategy and tactical medical plans for the region and European affiliates.Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the product(s) as Brand of Choice through medical communications, scientific support for promotional activities, and other related medical activities including studies, trainings, and medical information.
  • Start up and implement the country's medical affairs plan and develop follow-up strategies.
  • Develop, maintain, and extend contacts with top KOLs in the therapeutic area, organize advisory boards, round tables, and educational events.
  • Present data on existing products and new launches to healthcare professionals including physicians, hospital practitioners, formulary committees, pharmacists, and Santen internal colleagues.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures, local, and international rules and regulations.
  • Provide strategic medical input into business plans, market access strategies, uptake of company products in guidelines, promotional materials, and the selection of the most recent/appropriate claims, arguments, and references.
  • Draft local publications, abstracts, reports, medical reviews, and medical training materials.
  • Review expert reports to support reimbursement or formulary listing processes and contribute to the development of value packs.
  • Evaluate the scientific value of projects requesting support from the company.
  • Recommend trial sites to R&D colleagues and provide medical and scientific expertise related to local phase IV studies design and deliverables.
  • Manage, develop, engage Russian Medical Team to continuously improve deliver to the business
QualificationsEssential: Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or a PhD in Life Sciences.Minimum of 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including at least 3 years in a medical affairs role.Affinity with marketing & sales, knowledge on market access is a plusBilingual and fluency in written English, Russian.Preferred: Prior experience in ophthalmology is highly desirable.Competencies:Proven leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in high-performance teams and matrix organizations.Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset, with the ability to bring both expertise and innovation.In-depth product and disease knowledge, maintaining high standards of ethics.Autonomous, hands-on approach with an open mindset and adaptability.Proficient in MS Office, statistics tools, and complaint handling software.Excellent facilitation, communication, and proactive thinking abilities.Willingness to travel extensively across Russia and attend EMEA meetings as needed.Additional InformationGrow your career at SantenA career at Santen is an opportunity to make a difference.
